The Andean city of the Navel of the World awaits you with its wonderful places and a living culture that is evident everywhere you go.
We recommend taking this tour upon arrival in the city of Cusco as it will help you gradually adapt to the altitude.
We have two schedules: 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
The day begins with a pick-up at your accommodation in the company of your guide, and then you tour the city. The first place to visit is the cathedral complex made up of the churches of the Sagrada Familia, the Cathedral and the Triunfo, which contain an important sample of colonial mestizo art and interesting stories to learn.
The second stop is at the Temple of the Sun or Coricancha, where important vestiges of Inca cosmogony and engineering can be seen.
After finishing these two visits in the city, a stop is made at Sacsayhuamán, an ancient solar temple, known today as a fortress due to its colossal dimensions. Quenko, a labyrinthine stone shrine. Puka Pukara, the red fortress, a mysterious place named for the color of the walls at sunset and finally Tambomachay, a ritual site dedicated to the cult of water where springs and ceremonial fountains still exist. The tour concludes at the main square of the city at the indicated times.
