Palcoyo is a group of three rainbow mountains, less demanding than the “vinicunca” rainbow mountain with a one-hour walk at an altitude of 4,900 meters above sea level, located in the district of Checacupe, province of Canchis, Cusco Region.
The tour starts at 4:00 am with a pick-up from your hotel. The trip will take approximately 3 hours by bus. We will stop in the town of Cusipata for breakfast. Then we will resume the trip to the community of Pitumarca and finally we will begin the hike of approximately one hour, where you will be able to appreciate the fascinating landscape in the different colors of the strata of the earth that make up the three mountains. Also, during the tour you will be able to appreciate rock peaks that make up a “stone forest” and in the rainy season the “red river”, a stream that takes on a red color due to the landslide of the mountain.
After appreciating the multicolored mountain range, we return by the same route with a stop for lunch. We will be in Cusco at 6:00 pm.
